This Path Would generealy be "to : This path would generally be on forested land which is too steep to develop and is subject to flooding along the Harrods Creek Valley. Join now to participate in the planning, building, and acquiring easments from landowners. Introductory hikes exploring the route are planned in 2009. The model for this trail is the Appalachian Trail is which is a 2100 mile volunteer maintained Trail from Maine to Georgia in the Eastern U.S.

The Vision
Build an 18 mile plus volunteer member maintained hiking, riding, and jogging trail along the banks of harrods Creek from Prospect, KY Northeast to laGrange and old Sligo Road (KY 3223)
where it could join the dedicated trails in the L'Esprit equine development. Ultimately it could join the Oldham County Horse Park on KY 524.
This path would be generally on forested land which is too steep to develop, or is subject to flooding, which is along the scenic Harrods Creek Valley. Join now and participate in planning, building and acquiring easements for this path from land owners.
Introductory "working hikes" and rides are planned during each month in 2006.
The model for this trail is The Appalachian Trail, which is a volunteer maintained 2000 mile path form Maine to Georgia.

1/24 - Cabin Fever Cure Working Hike
This will be winter event to cure cabin fever& get some good exercise where you will learn trail building as members volunteers and friends work on building path along1 mile section of trail starting at Covered Bridge Road KY 329 and Locke Ln.. Gather at Gordon and Lori Dabney's drive way 3741 Locke Lane Last home on Locke Ln before Bridge over Harrods Creek.
